Joan of Arc 2

In a park in Washington, DC, there's a statue of Joan of Arc.
It was given to us by the women of France as a warning.

A grave message for their sisters overseas
Because they wanted us to understand
That a powerful woman is a threat to the patriarchy
Especially when her power comes from a source
Beyond the logic of the system.

But they can still use the system to destroy her
To humiliate and discredit her
To spit her out the other side as a criminal
And burn her at the stake.

Know your power.
And know what can happen when you use it.

Be wise.
And use it anyway.
